[入門編]英作文のトレーニング(1)
石神 勉，「[入門編]英作文のトレーニング」，増進会出版社，1995年．
大学受験用の教材だからといって恥ずかしがらない．
自分の解答と模範のそれをテキストのガイドラインをもとに比較してお勉強します．
ちなみに以下で書く模範はテキスト中の模範解答ではなく，僕の解答に対してテキストのガイドをもとに添削を行った結果の解答です．よって，ちゃんとした模範解答ではないです．
Ex.1 当地の気候はきわめて温暖で，冬でもめったに雪は降りません．
自分： The climate is very warm here, and it rarely snows in winter.
模範： The climate is very mild here, and it seldom snows in winter.
mildは覚えよう．seldomとrarelyはrarelyのほうがやわらかい表現．
Ex.2 あのデパートはブランド品のバーゲン中です．
自分： Brand goods are in bargain at that department store.
模範： Branded goods are being on sale at that department store.
ブランド品はbranded goods，バーゲン中はon saleね．あと，つねにそうでないときには〜中を表現するために現在進行形にすると．
Ex.3 人には誰でも何らかの生まれながらの才能があるのですが，それを生かせるかどうかが問題です．
自分： Men have some capability that is got inborn. It is a problem whether they can do well or not with the capability.
模範： Men have some inborn capability. It is a question whether they can make use of it or not.
生まれながらのはinborn．hogeを生かすはmake use of hoge = put hoge to good use．problemよりquesiton＠この文脈．
Ex.4 ｢乗車券を拝見します．｣｢はい，どうぞ．｣
自分： "The ticket please." "Sure."
模範： "Tickets please." "Here it is."
Sureでもいい気がするけど，こういうとこでHere it is = Here you areが出てくるようにすれ．
Ex.5 ディズニーランドはとても面白かったよ，君もくればよかったのに．
自分： We enjoyed very much at Disneyland. I wish you had come with us.
模範： We had lots of fun at Disneyland. I wish you had come with us.
enjoyではなく，have lots of fun．仮定法とか危ういな．
Ex.6 ｢近頃どうも体の調子がおかしくてね．」「一度診てもらったほうがいいよ．」
自分： "I feel a little bad in these days." "You had better go to a doctor."
模範： "I haven't been feeling to good in these days." "You had better go to a doctor."
よくないはbadというかはnot goodで．こういうときは進行形の現在完了にすれ．
Ex.7 祖父は80を越えていますが，足はいたって達者です．
自分： My grandfather is over eighty, but he has good feet.
模範： My grandfather is over eighty, but he is a good walker.
a hoge foo-erの形は浮かぶようにする．
Ex.8 サファリパークにいらっしゃるなら5番のバスです．30分ほどで着きます．
自分： Take the No.5 bus, if you want to go to the safari park. It takes about thirty minutes.
模範： Take the No.5 bus, if you are going to the safari park. It's about a thirty minute ride.
こういうの，書けるようにしなきゃ．
Ex.9 このテレビドラマを見れば江戸時代の庶民の暮らしぶりがよくわかります．
自分： This TV drama shows you the life of the common people in the age of Edo.
模範： This TV drama will show you clearly the lives of the common people in the Edo period.
時制を変えるのが自信がないな．livesはそれぞれの生活と考えるのか．抽象的な生活という概念ならlifeでいいと思ったのだけど．the Edo period(Age)は言い回しを覚えておこう．使わないけど．
Ex.10 あの人はお化粧のせいで若く見えるけれど，もう40歳を越えているのよ．
自分： Her good makeup makes her look younger, but she is already over forty.
模範： Her good makeup makes her look young for her age, but she is already over forty.
for hoge's ageは覚えておかなきゃ．どうでもいいけどfortyの綴りをfourtyって書いていた．
