Daniel A. Levinthal. "Organizational Adaptation and Environmental
Selection-Interrelated Processes of Change". Organization Science,
Vol.2, No.1, pp.140-145, 1991.
適応と選択(淘汰)プロセスとの関係は相互依存的であるということと，組織学習は選択(淘汰)プロセスに結びつき，適応的な学習とは結びつかないというこ
とを論じている．
ただ，この論文での適応と，自分のいっている適応では，ちょっと意味が違うので，これに注意したい．
おそらくこの論文での適応のレベルはかなり企投的な，自己組織化的なニュアンスで使われているとおもう．
まあ，ともあれメモ．
組織学習の性質が，組織の年齢と生存の見込みとに関係しているとしている．
そして，原因を学習とは現状の競争力の拡張を反映したものであるということと，学習はパフォーマンスのばらつきをなくすということから説明している．
当然現状の競争力の拡張からは，将来的にはパフォーマンスが向上することが期待され，つまり，生存の見込みは大きくなる．
また，パフォーマンスのばらつきが小さくなれば，これもまた，生存の見込みを大きくするだろう．
この辺のはなしは，組織学習についての理解を豊かにしてくれるので，ありがたい．
ただ，March(1991)で既出というはなしもある．本論文中でもふれられているし．

These results suggest that there is a relationship between
the age of an individual organization and the likelihood of survival.
This relationship, in turn, may stem from two basic properties of
organizational learning.

First, learning is typically reflected in an enhancement of an organization's competence at its current activities.
